Laura Leighton’s grandma duties are expanding!
The Melrose Place star, 56, introduced her social media followers to the newest addition to her family with the arrival of her newborn grandson, Grayson.
“Wearing my Nana hat again, this time for my perfect grandson! 😊 Sweet baby Grayson,” Leighton wrote alongside the Instagram post shared on Tuesday, June 17.
To conclude her heartfelt caption, she added, “Sweet smooshiness, ❤️”

The photo gave a first look at her little one, featuring the grandma-grandson duo cuddled up together. The actress cradled baby Grayson and looked down at him sweetly, smiling.
Grayson is the second grandchild for Leighton, who shares two grown kids with her husband Doug Savant. The Melrose Place star announced the arrival of her first grandchild, Josephine, in September of 2023.

“I’M A NANA!!!” she captioned a similar Instagram post of herself with Josephine at the time. “Madly in love with this bundle of perfection named Josephine. 💕 💕💕 “
She concluded her caption, “Yep. #grandparenting.”
In August 2024, Leighton shared a sweet tribute post on Instagram in celebration of Josephine’s 1st birthday.

“I can’t believe this sweet little giggle magnet is ONE YEAR OLD! 💕🎉🎈I am sooooo madly in love with this girlie, and it is so fun being her Nana! 💕💕” she captioned the picture.
Leighton has been open about her love for family in the past. In January, she gushed on an episode of Still Here Hollywood about her long-lasting marriage to her husband, actor Savant.
The actress reacted to Savant saying in a 2007 interview with PEOPLE that meeting his wife was the “best thing that happened to me as a result of Melrose.”
As Leighton revealed on the podcast, she “absolutely” agreed.
“That was a very lovely thing to say,” Leighton said. “Who would’ve thunk? We’re [at] 26 years of marriage, we’ve raised four children together and we’re pretty proud of that. And still going. It truly was the best thing to come out of the show.” (Savant has two children from his previous marriage to Dawn Dunkin.)
Leighton and Savant tied the knot in May 1998 amid the show’s run on Fox from 1992 to 1999. Savant starred as Matt Fielding in the series from 1992 to 1997, while Leighton appeared as Sydney Andrews from 1993 to 1997.
