Meghann Fahy rose up to the task.
The actress, 35, opened up about a challenging scene she had to film with Julianne Moore for their Netflix show Sirens during the Aug. 13 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Host Seth Meyers noted that Fahy “had to kind of get right into it” with Moore from the beginning of the beach drama.

The series follows Fahy’s Devon DeWitt as she grows concerned that her sister, Simone DeWitt (Milly Alcock), has been indoctrinated into a cult led by Moore’s Michaela Kell, a wealthy and controlling businesswoman.

The actress continued to compliment the Oscar winner, saying, “Honestly, if she was a cult leader in real life, I would be in that cult.”
Meyers agreed, saying, “I think I would be, too. I know usually when you watch those shows, you’re supposed to be like, ‘I don’t trust this cult leader.’ And I’m kind of like, ‘I might be down with most of this.'”

“100%,” Fahy joked.
“I feel like Meghann’s the bad guy. I don’t know why she’s trying to bust up this cult. Her sister definitely has a better life now,” the comedian added.
Sirens premiered all five episodes in May on Netflix. The all-star cast also featured Glenn Howerton, Kevin Bacon, Bill Camp and Felix Solis.
Per Netflix’s official logline, the limited series takes place “over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish island estate,” and is an “incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.”

“Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention,” the synopsis continues. “But she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be.”
PEOPLE exclusively spoke with Howerton about his role in the show as Ethan Corbin II, the Kell’s neighbor and Simone’s love interest.
“My character’s very kind of naive and slightly oblivious, and I sort of pride myself on being the exact opposite of that in the real world,” he said. “I try really hard to understand how my actions affect other people and not move through the world in an oblivious manner.”

Howerton added that some of Ethan’s “more oblivious moments” have been “a little difficult for me to play because it’s just so different from me, but that’s also what I love about it.
