Meghan Trainor has been “All About That Bass” since she dropped her debut single in 2014. More than a decade later, the singer-songwriter still shows love for her body positivity anthem that made her emerge into the mainstream music scene…but with a few updates.
The “Criminals” hitmaker performed at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango in Huntington Beach on Saturday, May 10, and as she performed the 2014 track, she swapped the lyrics to reflect some recent changes in her physical appearance.
Instead of singing, “Yeah, it’s pretty clear / I ain’t no size 2,” she mused, “Yeah, it’s pretty clear / I got some new boobs.”

The comments section on clips of her performance drew mixed reactions from fans.
“Women hating on other women in this comment section ain’t it. God forbid a woman, after 10 years and 2 kids, wants to look a different way than a whole decade ago. Also, if you’re a man in this comment section — literally no one asked,” someone wrote in the singer’s defense.
Another wrote, “Y’all, this song is abt BODY POSITIVITY. She feels confident in her body and feels good wearing this!!! That’s literally the whole point.”
While some applauded Meghan for being transparent about her surgery, others felt that she was hypocritical and questioned, “Is she qualified to sing this song anymore?”
“Gals ALWAYS get skinny, get surgery, change something after years of telling us to love ourselves the way we are 😭😭😭😭,” one person wrote, while someone else chimed in, “‘Big is beautiful until you’re rich enough to change it.’ — story of the entertainment industry.”
The Grammy winner has been open about her health journey on multiple occasions. In March, she revealed that she got a boob job after giving birth to her two kids, Riley and Barry. “I’ve always struggled with loving my boobs before I got them done. They were never even and were always sagging my whole life,” the artist, who recently appeared on Mimi Webb’s track “Mind Reader,” explained in an Instagram video.
Later that month, she candidly admitted that she used Mounjaro (an Ozempic-like medication) to help with her weight loss.
“No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me,” she wrote in an Instagram post after she was honored at Billboard’s Women in Music event in March.
“I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy,” she continued. “And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
