On Saturday, Meghan Markle shared an intimate pic from her family life on Instagram featuring her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. In the black-and-white image, her family is walking away in the distance through a blooming garden.
Harry is carrying Lili on his shoulders, and holding Archie’s hand as the six-year-old walks by his side. The Duke of Sussex is wearing dark jeans and a polo, while the kids are dress in light colors. Lili’s hair is clipped back with a bow. The duchess shared the photo without a caption.

The picture comes just after Prince Harry’s revealing interview with the BBC, where he discussed having to avoid the U.K. with his kids due to security concerns. When he and Meghan stepped away from their duties as active members of the royal family and moved to California in 2020, their security was downgraded. Harry has stated that this leaves them too vulnerable for a visit to the country and he has appealed the decision, to no avail.
In the interview, Harry said that he “can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point.”
He continued, “The things that they’re going to miss is, well, everything. I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done. So I miss the U.K., I miss parts of the U.K., of course I do—and I think that it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”
Prince Harry also discussed King Charles, who has been receiving treatment for cancer.
“I don’t know how much longer my father has—he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff but it would be nice to reconcile,” Harry revealed.
