Meghan Markle asked if one of her With Love, Meghan season 2 guests watched her on Suits.
“I don’t watch basic cable,” the mixologist replied.
Markle laughed as she said, “Great, I love it.”
Meghan Markle’s latest With Love, Meghan suited up for some light Suits shade during a comical moment on season 2 of the Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix docuseries.
The former actress and spouse of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, set out to learn how to spice up her mixology skills on a new episode of her lifestyle TV show by visiting accomplished mixologist Payman Bahmani-Bailey for a lesson in how to make a drink.
Markle told Bahmani-Bailey that she wanted to become more familiar with “the idea of classic and modern, and how to be able to entertain a guest or group” with drinks that are “a little more fun” than stuffier party fare.

As the group began making a drink that included 50 percent gin and 50 percent vermouth, Markle inquired, “How did you get into mixology?” as her guest poured ice into a tall glass.
“That’s a very good question. So, I was a lawyer in New York,” Bahmani-Bailey responded, before Markle, who starred on seven seasons of the USA Network legal drama series Suits before marrying into the British Royal family, cut in to ask, “Did you watch Suits?”
Bahmani-Bailey briefly paused before admitting, “No, no. I don’t watch basic cable.”
Markle turned to the side and laughed, as her guest added, “I like shows with curse words and stuff.”
Markle continued to chuckle as she observed, “Great, I love it!” before they moved on to the mixing at hand.
Season 2 of With Love, Meghan marks one of the first entries ahead of the Duke and Duchess’ extension of their $100 million Netflix deal, which was previously reported to have fallen through but was later announced to be picked back up by all parties involved.
“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere,” Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer, said in a statement announcing the renewal. “The response to their work speaks for itself . . . we’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”

The couple’s Archewell banner was formed after they stepped back from their royal duties and moved to the United States in 2020. To date, the pair have released docuseries projects like Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry’s non-fiction sports programs Heart of Invictus and Polo, and the couple’s Live to Lead, which chronicles various world leaders.
