Meghan Markle isn’t opposed to writing a memoir.
On the April 28 episode of The Jamie Kern LimaShow, Markle opened up about whether or not she’d consider writing an autobiography.
“I love, right now, working on everything in this space of hospitality and home and entertaining and food and those sort of tips and something like that, I think, would be really fun,” she told podcast host Jamie Kern Lima.
However, Markle doesn’t think that a memoir is in her immediate future.
“Children’s books are great,” Markle said. “I think people are often curious if I’m going to write a memoir, but I’ve got a lot more life to live before I’m there,” she added.
Rumors that Markle was planning on writing a tell-all have been around for quite some time. However, those rumors have involved the former senior member of the royal family writing her book after an impending split from her husband, Prince Harry. Of course, the two aren’t even separated at present time — but that hasn’t softened the chatter.
Back in January, an unnamed source told Vanity Fair that someone from Markle’s camp was floating ideas to a publisher for a book written by a divorced Duchess of Sussex — and the source made it clear that the book would be written after Markle and Harry ended things (Markle was previously married to Trevor Engelson).
Markle didn’t discuss the post-split memoir rumor on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. Things appear to be going well for the Duchess and her husband, who tied the knot in 2018. In fact, she told Lima that she and Prince Harry are currently in a “honeymoon period,” despite being married for seven years.
Markle went on to call Harry a “fox” and said, “that man loves me so much.”
