Megan Thee Stallion just made a gorgeous return to the Met Gala steps.
The rapper, 30, made quite an entrance as she arrived on 2025 Met Gala red carpet wearing a sparkling silver gown with an extravagant white fur coat, after skipping the event for the last three years.
The Megan: Act II musician turned heads on the Met Gala steps in a body-hugging silver sequin gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a high slit to show off her left leg. To elevate the look, which was custom-made by designer Michael Kors, she donned a large white fur coat with a lengthy train.
As a nod to this year’s dress code, “Tailored for You,” Megan’s look was fitted with special accessories. The artist also styled her hair up in an intricate hairdo consisting of several large knots, which transformed into a long ponytail. Jewels were placed in a line throughout the center of the updo, creating a regal look. She also wore diamond studs and long silver nails to complete the ensemble.
The rapper posed solo and alongside Kors, who wore a simple black tailored suit with a bow tie and black dress shoes. He also donned his iconic black sunglasses.

In October 2024, Vogue announced Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour as co-chairs of the 2025 Met Gala, as well as LeBron James as honorary chair. The event, which is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is a fundraiser for The Costume Institute and spotlights the museum’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which is the theme for the gala.
Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton, shared that the exhibit, which is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”
The exhibit “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,” according to a post on the museum’s Instagram.
The Met Gala’s dress code, which is slightly different from the theme, is “Tailored for You.” It is a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting. The gala also has a star-studded host committee: Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, as well as Doechii, Regina King, Spike Lee, Angel Reese and Usher.

The May 5 event is Megan’s third appearance at the Met Gala, and each year she has turned heads with her show-stopping looks.
In 2022, Megan served up body-ody-ody in a pair of metallic golden wings and a curve-hugging head-to-toe-gold look by Moschino. “I feel like I’m gold anyway, and I feel like I came out here to give my skin, I came out here to give melanin,” Megan told PEOPLE of her look. “Gold looks beautiful on me.”
Arriving with the label’s creative director Jeremy Scott and an entourage of Moschino-clad stars, Megan’s look took flight with its a floor-length silhouette that featured a thigh-high leg slit and sheer cutouts around her waist.
“Me and Jeremy have been talking in the DMs forever. I feel like I’ve always known him, I feel like he’s so fun,” she said of the collab. “And he was like, ‘Megan, you coming to the Met Gala with me?’ I was like, ‘Yes I am. OK, that’s fine. Here I come.’ “
Megan noted that it took “probably like a week” for the look to come together, adding: “I feel like everybody’s been preparing for so long, and I was just like, ‘Jeremy, you know what to do. Get it together.’ And he hit it in a week.”
The dress code for that year’s Met Gala was white-tie with an emphasis on Gilded Glamour. The theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” celebrating the “inclusivity” of American fashion.

The Grammy winner also attended the Met Gala in 2021. That night, Megan rocked a custom baby pink Coach dress that featured a sweetheart neckline and a gathered tulle hem. She finalized her look with Stuart Weitzman heels and jewelry by Fernando Jorge.
Of her ensemble, Megan told Vogue that her inspiration “was Old Hollywood, with a hot girl twist.”
