Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim, once child stars on “Zombies,” have turned their shared love of theater into a lifelong bond — and now both are shining on Broadway. Donnelly’s debut as Satine in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” comes just after Manheim’s in “Little Shop of Horrors.” Their friendship, forged in childhood, remains unbreakable.

Their First Bond Was Theater — and It Still Holds

“We’re always there and supporting each other,” Meg Donnelly told PEOPLE, reflecting on her enduring friendship with Milo Manheim. “It’s so wild that now we’re doing the things that we talked about when we were younger — Broadway, musicals, stage — because we both always wanted that.”

When they first met on the set of “Zombies,” both were children with a shared passion: theater. “That’s what we had in common,” Donnelly recalled. “That was our main common point that we bonded over when we first met.”

Now, nearly a decade later, that childhood connection has evolved into a professional and personal bond that transcends Hollywood. “I feel like we somehow always end up in the same place,” Donnelly admitted. “He’s in New York now, so it ends up always working out. When I’m in L.A., he’s in L.A.”

Broadway Dreams, Realized — Together

Donnelly’s Broadway debut in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” coincided with Manheim’s debut in “Little Shop of Horrors” — a serendipitous convergence of two young actors chasing their dreams. “It’s insane,” she said. “We both wanted to do Broadway and do musicals and stage — and somehow we both ended up here.”

Their paths have not only crossed on stage, but also in the hearts of fans who see them as a duo that never truly parted ways. “We’re like family,” Donnelly said. “Even though we’re all spread out and even if we don’t talk every day, we’re always there supporting each other — and it’s just really special. Especially with Milo, but that goes without saying.”

More Than Just Friends — They’re a Support System

“We’ll FaceTime here and there and whenever any of us are doing something that we care about, we will always show up and support,” Donnelly explained. “Milo and I especially — we’re always there and supporting each other. But even just the whole cast, there’s so many people in all the ‘Zombies’ movies and everyone is just so supportive and we always show up for one another.”

The entire “Zombies” cast, now adults, still maintains a tight-knit bond. “It’s not just us,” Donnelly noted. “It’s the whole cast — everyone is just so supportive and we always show up for one another.”

Why This Matters: A Legacy of Friendship in the Entertainment Industry

In an industry where friendships often fade under the pressure of fame, Donnelly and Manheim’s relationship stands out as a rare example of loyalty and mutual support. Their story is not just about acting careers — it’s about the power of shared dreams and the enduring strength of a bond formed in childhood.

“Zombies” may have been a children’s show, but the foundation it laid for their future careers — and their friendship — was built on something deeper: a love for theater. That love, nurtured through years of shared experiences, has carried them through the ups and downs of Hollywood and into the spotlight of Broadway.

What’s Next? The Future of Their Friendship and Careers

While Donnelly’s performance in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” has been met with acclaim, fans are eager to see what Manheim will bring to his next role. “He’s in New York now,” Donnelly said, hinting at the possibility of future collaborations. “We’re always there and supporting each other — and that’s what matters most.”

For now, the two remain committed to their craft and to each other. “We’re like family,” Donnelly reiterated. “It really feels like that. Even though we’re all spread out and even if we don’t talk every day, we’re always there supporting each other — and it’s just really special.”

As they continue to chase their dreams, one thing remains clear: Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim are not just actors — they are a testament to the power of friendship, loyalty, and shared passion.

Stay tuned for more updates on Meg Donnelly’s Broadway journey and Milo Manheim’s next project — because their story is far from over.
