Meet the Star-Studded Cast of ‘The Four Seasons’ on Netflix

Streaming now on Netflix is The Four Seasons, a remake of Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same name. This time, however, it’s a TV show, eight episodes long, and the plot goes in a different direction (no spoilers here).

“Alan was very thoughtful in the way he wrote the characters in the original movie. We were very happy to have an eight-episode arc to work with so we could go back to Anne and see how she was coping and how she was doing at the end of that year,” Tina Fey, who co-created and stars in the series, said. “I think the friends feel guilty about her not being on certain trips and how things change.”

Co-creator Tracey Wigfield adds, “We were talking about doing a show about real people, marriage, and friendship. Structurally, it’s so interesting. It has such a hook to it. You see these three couples who have been friends forever, and you follow them over a year in four different locations. The story deals with such a relatable, huge thing that happens to this friend group when one couple gets divorced and the guy starts dating a younger woman. It felt so real to us.”

Tina Fey as Kate

Fey stars as Kate, who married her college sweetheart, Jack. She also co-created the series, and has a storied career, including starring on Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Mean Girls, and so many more.

Will Forte as Jack

Forte plays Kate’s husband, Jack. Forte was also a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and starred in The Last Man on Earth and Bodkin, among others.

Colman Domingo as Danny

Danny, Kate’s BFF, is an interior decorator. He’s portrayed by Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo—who’s recently starred in Rustin, Sing Sing, and many other films.

Marco Calvani as Claude

Claude is Danny’s Italian husband, portrayed by actor Marco Calvani. He’s friends with Colman’s real-life husband Raúl Domingo, who recommended Calvani for the role. Last year, he released High Tide, his debut feature film.

Kerri Kenney-Silver as Anne

Anne, a ceramicist, has been married to Nick for 25 years. She’s best known for the sitcom RENO 911! and has also starred in The State, Superstore, and 2 Broke Girls.

Steve Carrell as Nick

Nick is Jack’s former co-worker, now a successful finance executive. Carrell is perhaps best known for his role as Michael Scott on The Office, but he’s also starred in Anchorman, Crazy, Stupid Love, The Big Short, Beautiful Boy, and more.
