Another Simple Favor is a sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor, which sees Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) become romantically involved with her best friend Emily Nelson’s (Blake Lively) then-husband (Henry Golding).
But in real life, the cast’s love lives aren’t nearly as twisty.
Another Simple Favor — which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on May 1 — follows Smothers and Nelson as they reconnect for the first time in five years at Nelson’s wedding to Dante Versano (Michele Morrone) in Capri, Italy. The getaway quickly unravels and becomes filled with murder, betrayal and exposed secrets.
While Lively’s character is giving love a second chance, off-screen, she’s been married to Ryan Reynolds since 2012. Kendrick and Golding play love interests in the sequel, but in real-life, Kendrick is single and Golding is married to Liv Lo Golding.
The film also stars Andrew Rannells (Darren), Bashir Salahuddin (Detective Summerville), Allison Janney (Aunt Linda McLinden), Elena Sofia Ricci (Portia Versano) and Elizabeth Perkins (Margaret McLinden).
Here’s everything to know about the real-life partners of the Another Simple Favor cast.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds went from on-screen love interests to off-screen couple goals.
The pair met while filming Green Lantern in 2010, but didn’t start dating until a year later.
“We were buddies for a long time, which I think is the best way to have a relationship, to start as friends,” Reynolds told Jess Cagle on SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio Deadpool special in 2016.
In fact, they connected while on a double date with other people.
“About a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and we were both single, we went on a double date — she was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl — and it was like the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across,” Reynolds shared.

The couple married on Sept. 9, 2012, and started their family two years later when they welcomed their first daughter, James, on Dec. 16, 2014. They went on to have daughters Inez (born September 2016), Betty (born October 2019) and son Olin (born February 2023).
Lively and Reynolds have supported each other during their career milestones over the years — including at Reynolds’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in December 2016 where he called her the “best thing.”
“You are the best thing, the best thing that has ever happened to me — second only to this star,” he joked. “You make everything better, absolutely everything in my life better. You’ve made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential.”

“It came out of absolutely nowhere but was built on this foundation of I had so much love and trust for that person, so I thought it had to be me,” she said. “It was very, very difficult to actually go, ‘No, I think this is him. I think this is his stuff.’ I turned my life completely upside down trying to fix whatever was wrong with me.”

Morrone was previously married to Rouba Saadeh, but they divorced in 2018. The exes share sons Marcus (born September 2014) and Brando (born September 2017).
Morrone, who rose to fame on the Netflix series 365 Days, sparked romance rumors with Khloé Kardashian in September 2022 when they posed for photos together at Dolce & Gabbana’s spring/summer show.
However, his rep denied that anything romantic happened between the two of them.
