If your guilty pleasure is also opening up your favorite streaming service and throwing on a teen love story, then you’re going to be really excited to know that Netflix’s adaptation of the Judy Blume book Forever is now streaming. The new romance series tells the story of two high school seniors, Keisha and Justin. They’re star athletes who are trying to navigate school, parents, and friends but most importantly, they’re figuring out who they want to be, and whether they want to be with each other. I promise you’re going to fall head over heels for this series. But before you take the plunge, take a moment to meet the cast and characters that will soon have your heart.
Lovie Simone as Keisha Clark
Keisha is a track star with stellar grades to match, and she’s got her sights set on getting an athletic scholarship to Howard. But when she runs into Justin, she starts to rethink what exactly is most important to her.
Lovie Simone got her big break playing Zora Greenlead in the Oprah-produced series Greenleaf. But you might also recognize her from other shows like Orange is the New Black and Manhunt.

Michael Cooper Jr. as Justin Edwards
Justin has collegiate athletic dreams of his own: he wants to be a college basketball star. But once he meets Keisha, the vision for his future starts to change.
Born in Dallas, Michael Cooper Jr. had his first big acting role just a few years ago in The Inhabitant. This is his first big TV gig so it’s likely we’ll be seeing him on our screens more and more.

Xosha Roquemore as Shelly
Shelly is Keisha’s mother. She’s an ambitious, supportive single mom and her work ethic has clearly rubbed off on Keisha.
If you’re a fan of The Mindy Project you’ll easily recognize Xosha Roquemore as Tamra. But she’s also been in Netflix’s Family Switch and Captain America: Brave New World.

Marvin Winans III as Jaden
Jaden is Justin’s little brother and even though he can be kinda a lot at times (as little brothers tend to be) he really looks up to Justin.
Marvin Winans III’s career is just getting started, but you might recognize him as one of the students in the hilarious hit show Abbott Elementary.

Wood Harris as Eric Edwards
Eric is Justin’s dad (and Dawn’s husband). He’s a pretty chilled-out guy who’s successful in the restaurant business, but his son’s future is always his top priority.
Wood Harris has been in quite a few blockbuster movies like Ant-Man, Remember the Titans, Hendrix, Creed, and Blade Runner so there’s a very good chance you’ve seen some of the Chicago-born actor’s work before.

Ali Gallo as Chloe
Chloe is Keisha’s bestie who’s there with her for all the ups and downs of high school drama. She’s supportive but can at times get a little wrapped up in her own problems.
You may recognize actress Ali Gallo from her roles in The Sex Lives of College Girls (another amazing show) and Incoming.

Niles Fitch as Darius
Darius is Justin’s best friend. He’s a little more extroverted and confident than Justin, but he’s always looking out for his friend. In fact, he’s the one who alerts Justin to some rumors about Keisha’s past.
Niles Fitch has been in shows like Atypical and movies like The Fallout, but he’s probably most recognizable from having played a young Randall in This is Us.

Barry Shabaka Henley as George
George is Keisha’s grandfather, but he really is the father figure in her life, always offering up a friendly ear to listen or some much-needed advice when she’s feeling lost.
Barry Shabaka Henley has a resume that’s much too long to list, but he’s been in big-name productions like A Star is Born, The Terminal, Black-ish, and Grey’s Anatomy.
