McDonald’s just brought back an old favorite—at least in some regions—and fans are demanding the fast food joint make it a capital “Permanent Flavor.”
As foodstagrammer markie_devo revealed the “yummy” news on the social media platform, celebrating the “bangers” being dropped by the brand, fans were itching to get their hands on the new Hershey’s Chocolate Chip Frappe, which is said to feature “a blend of McD’s signature Mocha Frappe and Caramel Frappe bases, kissed with a hint of coffee and swirled together with rich chocolate chips” before being topped off with whipped cream and an additional sprinkle of chocolate chips.
Unfortunately, it’s not available everywhere, but fans in Chicago, San Francisco, St. Louis, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Miami can get their hands on it—at least for a limited time.

Those outside of the available markets were frustrated, of course, with one commenting, “I’m tired of these select markets being nowhere near me 😭.”
Many celebrated the drink’s addition to the menu, noting that a similar drink had disappeared a few years prior.
“About time it came back!!! Keep on the menu!” one demanded, as another agreed it “should definitely be a Permanent Flavor!”
Someone else commented “finally” over the return of the “so simple yet yummy” beverage.
‘I hope this is the same because it was amazing,” another crossed their fingers. According to one who has already had the opportunity to try it, “it’s good,” but could use “more caffeine taste to it.”
“I tried this yesterday. It was good but a little too sweet for me,” someone else admitted.
