Martha Stewart doesn’t do takeout.
The lifestyle maven, 83, joined her Yes, Chef! costar José Andrés, 55, on Monday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where they reminisced about food options when they were shooting their new show in Toronto.
“Every night, he found the next best restaurant,” Stewart said of Andrés. “We had the best dinners.”
“Going out after a 12-hour day, you know what it’s like,” Stewart told host Kelly Clarkson.
“No, I would never do that,” Clarkson joked.

However, Stewart said dining out was a must during their time in the Canadian city.
“You’re in a cosmopolitan area where they offer all that good stuff, so you have to try it,” Stewart said. “I tried to go to every great restaurant in Toronto, and they have great restaurants in Toronto.”
“And I go, do they deliver?” the talk show host quipped.
It was then that Stewart made a shocking admission.
“Do you want to know a secret? I have never ordered in,” she revealed.

Clarkson was incredulous, asking, “Are you kidding me?”
“My daughter will vouch for me,” Stewart insisted, referring to Alexis Stewart, 59.
“You have never been like, ‘It’s a Taco Bell night, we’re just doing it’?” the “Since U Been Gone” singer wanted to know.
Andrés then requested evidence of his fellow celebrity chef’s surprising claim.
“Prove it!” he urged her. “People of America, if you have a photo of Martha Stewart ordering in, phone now. We want to see it! We demand an investigation.”
While Clarkson maintained that Stewart’s confession was “insane,” she was proud of the culinary icon, adding, “You’re so pure.”
“Don’t you worry, I’ve ordered in enough for the both of us,” she assured Stewart.

Yes, Chef!, which sees 12 contestants compete for a cash prize of $250,000, premieres on NBC on Monday, April 28.
In March, Andrés told PEOPLE the two food stars had been enjoying each other’s company while living in Toronto to film the series.
“We’ve been going out to dinner, she’s been coming and partying in my home for dinner, we cook together,” Andrés said. “We eat together until they kick us out of the restaurant — no, we’ve been behaving.”
