Royal wedding bells will soon ring in Liechtenstein!
The wedding date of Princess Marie Caroline of Liechtenstein has reportedly been revealed, and the chatter is that her special day is happening soon.
On July 26, Vanitatis reported that Princess Marie Caroline’s wedding to Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer is set to be held on Saturday, August 30. The Princely House of Liechtenstein has not replied to PEOPLE’s request for further comment.
Princess Marie Caroline, 28, is the second child and only daughter of Prince Alois and his wife, Princess Sophie. In October 2024, the Princely House announced the happy news that Princess Marie Caroline was engaged to be married.

“H.S.H. the Hereditary Prince and H.R.H. the Hereditary Princess von und zu Liechtenstein are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Princess Marie Caroline to Mr Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer,” said a statement released on Oct. 21.
“The wedding is planned for late summer next year,” the message said.
The update came with a portrait of the couple, sitting and smiling together outside. Princess Marie Caroline wore a teal patterned dress with a romantic accessory — a green gemstone ring on her left ring finger — while her fiancé sported a navy pinstripe suit with a blue shirt.
Princess Marie Caroline’s father, Prince Alois, 57, is the longtime regent of Liechtenstein, while her grandfather, Prince Hans-Adam, is the reigning prince of the House of Liechtenstein. She is the first of her siblings (all brothers!) to get married, and the reported date falls two weeks after the principality’s National Day.

Her fiancé, Leopoldo, 34, was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and studied at the Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola in his hometown and the Harrow School in London. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of St Andrews, which is where Prince William and Kate Middleton went to college and met.
Leopolodo continued his studies to achieve a postgraduate degree from Queens College, University of Cambridge, and went on to work in investment banking in Paris and New York.
He moved back to London in 2016, where he works today in investment management.
Prince Alois and Princess Sophie, 57, will step into the spotlight on their daughter’s royal wedding day, and Vanitatis reported that the celebration is expected to draw representatives from royal houses including Luxembourg and Belgium.
