Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa may already have chosen their successor for their soccer team.
On Wednesday, July 23, the Live with Kelly and Mark hosts were exclusively chatting with PEOPLE at the premiere for their new ESPN series, Running with the Wolves, which chronicles their journey as co-owners of the Italian soccer team Campobasso FC.
When asked what their kids think about their new purchase, the Riverdale alum, 54, originally quips that his three adult children — Joaquin, 22, Lola, 24, and Michael, 28 — may not know much about the team. But then he quickly corrects himself and reveals Lola does, adding that she tends to fly to Italy to watch the games.
“She’s very much a big fan of Campobasso, and she makes it over from London a lot to make it to come see the games,” Consuelos tells PEOPLE, referring to where their daughter now lives. “So, she’s excited.”

Looking toward the future, it appears that Lola may be the perfect person to follow in the footsteps of Consuelos and Ripa, 54 — and become an owner of the team.
When asked if their daughter would be the one to take over when the time comes, Consuelos responds, “In her mind she is.” In agreement, Ripa adds, “That’s what she says.”
Consuelos and Ripa married in May 1996, one year after meeting on the soap opera All My Children, and they have been together ever since. The last few decades have been busy ones for the couple as they spent them raising their three now-adult children. Despite all of the fame, their children still only see them as mom and dad.
During a recent episode of Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Lola chatted with Ripa about their tight-knit family of five. The mother-daughter pair revealed the name of their family group chat called “Fam Innit,” with Lola adding what she and her brothers think of the moniker.
“We’re so embarrassed by that name that mom and dad came up with that Michael, Joaquin and I have a group chat called ‘Family, Isn’t It?’ ” she shared.
Ripa explained that she and Consuelos were “really into Top Boy, the TV show, and we just got into saying ‘Fam Innit.’ “

Lola admitted that she sometimes puts her phone on do not disturb and wakes up to random YouTube videos or photos of her and her siblings when they were kids. When asked what the last message in the group chat was, Ripa revealed that it was a fun fact from her son, Michael.
“I’m reading it right now. I just pulled it up. Ready?” she asked, before continuing to read the message. “It’s from Michael Consuelos. It says, ‘You guys wanna hear a fun fact I learned today? The theme song of The White Lotus uses a famous music sequence used in a lot of shows and movies to forewarn impending disaster or death.”
The mom of three then said that nobody responded or left the group chat after that message.
Running with the Wolves premieres on ESPN and ESPN+ on Tuesday, July 29.
