Nick Cannon’s twins are another year older!
On Wednesday, April 29, the Wild n’ Out creator, 44, celebrated his twins Moroccan and Monroe’s 14th birthday with a special post on Instagram. Cannon, who shares the teens with ex-wife Mariah Carey. shared a video of their birthday festivities, explaining that his kids didn’t want a birthday party. Instead, the Masked Singer host rented out an escape room experience for them and all their friends.
“Happy Birthday to my Firstborns! 14 years old!!! Somebody slow this thing down!!! Please!!!” he wrote in the caption of the post. “They didn’t even want a birthday party!! They said they are too cool for that! LOL.”
“So instead they had the entire @thebasementescaperoom experience all to themselves and they had a blast!! Scary and mindblowing to say the least but Roc & Roe and their friends loved it! And they let the old man tag along as a chaperone!” he continued. “I love you guys with everything I got and beyond!! Here’s to another trip around the Sun!”

The Grammy award-winning singer, 56, and the Roll Bounce star welcomed their twins in April 2011, during their 6-year marriage. Despite their divorce, Carey and Cannon continue to support each other and their children, whom they’ve affectionately dubbed “dem kids.”
“They’re a lot, but they give me so much love in return. I wouldn’t be the same person without them,” Carey told PEOPLE. “I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk.”
Carey and Cannon have also been open about how they are raising their children to be humble. “I want my kids to understand that every child isn’t as fortunate as they are,” Cannon told PEOPLE in 2012. That same sentiment was echoed by Carey in 2019: “It’s hard, but I try to keep them grounded so they don’t think everything is just handed to them.”
