Maria Shriver Shares Thoughts on Son’s Ex Miley Cyrus After Ex-Husband Weighed In originally appeared on Parade.
Maria Shriver revealed what she really thinks about son Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus just days after her ex-husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, weighed in on the past relationship.
While serving as the guest host of Today with Jenna & Friends on Thursday, June 26, Shriver, 69, and Jenna Bush Hager shared their thoughts on parents staying friends with their kids’ exes during the “Social Dilemmas” segment.
“Did you ever do that with any of your kids’ exes? Keep in touch with them?” Bush Hager, 43, asked Shriver, who shares children Patrick, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Christina Schwarzenegger and Christopher Schwarzenegger with Arnold, 77.
“No, no, I’m trying to think, no,” Shrived said, which led Bush Hager to ask, “No Miley Cyrus?”
The I Am Maria author laughed before responding, “I would be very happy to see Miley. I liked Miley. I’d be happy to see her. But I did not stay texting, no I didn’t.”
Patrick, 31, and Cyrus, 32, dated from fall 2014 to spring 2015.

Shriver shared her thoughts on the “Flowers” singer just three days after Arnold was asked to reveal what he thinks about Cyrus during the Monday, June 23, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“She’s a wonderful, wonderful girl and human being. Very, very talented,” he said of Cyrus. “She came up to Sun Valley when we were skiing up there and she was just such a wonderful houseguest and everything like that.”
While Cyrus and Patrick’s love story wasn’t meant to be, Arnold said that their family “just all loved her.”
“She was just a really good, good person and fun to hang out with,” the Killing Gunther star continued. “I’m sorry it didn’t work out. But Patrick, in the meantime, found another girl that he got engaged with and he’s getting married to in September.”
Patrick is currently engaged to his fiancée, Abby Champion, while Cyrus has been in a dating boyfriend Maxx Morando since 2021.
