Mandy Moore is joining the cast of Dan Fogelman’s new TV show
The untitled Hulu series is set in the world of the NFL, and it serves as a reunion for Moore and Fogelman, who previously worked together on This Is Us
The cast also features Christopher Meloni and William H. Macy
Mandy Moore is on board for a mini This Is Us reunion with creator Dan Fogelman.
PEOPLE has confirmed that the actress, 41, is joining the cast of Fogelman’s upcoming NFL series this fall on Hulu. While still untitled, the show is set to feature Moore in the role of Lauren, daughter of Hank (William H. Macy) and the heir apparent to her father’s world.
The cast also features Christopher Meloni, who will play the head coach of an NFL team. This summer, Meloni has been spotted filming for the 27th season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit while fans await the news of a possible sixth installment of his Peacock series Organized Crime.

Moore previously worked with Fogelman for six years on NBC’s hit series This Is Us, where she starred as Pierson family matriarch Rebecca Pearson.
Fogelman is also the creator of the breakout series Paradise, the political thriller that features yet another This Is Us alum in Sterling K. Brown as Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, who finds the U.S. president murdered in his own home.
Speaking to PEOPLE about the pilot episode’s big shocker, Brown admitted Fogelman surprised him (as he tends to).
“I said, ‘You son of a gun. You did it again,'” Brown recalled. “Because I forgot who I was dealing with.”

This Is Us ran on NBC from 2016-2022, and the series dealt with themes of family, love and loss — and how all of those things are so inevitably intertwined.
Centered on the lives of siblings Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Brown) and their parents, Rebecca (Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), the series also used multiple timelines, showing stories that took place in the present as well as flashbacks to the siblings’ childhood and flash-forwards to later years.

More recently, Moore wrapped production on The Breadwinner, opposite comedian Nate Bargatze in his feature film debut. After Moore’s character wins a life-changing deal on Shark Tank, Bargatze’s character must go from being the family’s breadwinner to a stay-at-home dad.
Offscreen, Moore welcomed her third child, daughter Lou, with husband Taylor Goldsmith in September 2024. She and Goldsmith also share sons Gus, 4, and Ozzy, 2.
In a call-back to her role in This Is Us, Moore announced Lou’s arrival with a sweet caption.
“Lou is here!” the proud mom shared alongside a black and white photo from the baby’s birth. “Louise Everett Goldsmith arrived happy, healthy, expeditiously and right in time for Virgo season.”
She continued, “She is our absolute dream girl and her big brothers are already as obsessed with her as we are. Endlessly grateful for our family of 5 (and our very own big three) and soaking in every moment of this special time. 💓💓💓.”
