I’ve tried many MagSafe wallets over the years, and I’ve yet to find the perfect one. I recently picked up ESR’s new five-card MagSafe wallet, and it’s become my daily carry thanks to its separate ID slots and ability to hold multiple cards.
MagSafe Monday: Every Monday, Bradley Chambers looks at the latest and greatest in the MagSafe and wireless charging industry to help you get the most out of your Apple devices that support wireless charging.

It holds up to five cards, with three dedicated slots and a clear ID window. ESR also added a wider oval slot at the bottom that makes sliding cards out easier, which is an issue I’ve had with other wallets. It’s one of those small touches that makes a big difference when you’re using it multiple times a day. Because you get to separate the cards, you can get your ID without dealing with your credit cards and vice versa. I’ve had multiple times with Apple’s wallet where I pull everything out and I end up dropping one, etc.
4x stronger than Apple’s wallet
The magnetic strength on this wallet is also worth noting here. ESR claims it hat 3,200 g of holding force, which makes it four times stronger than Apple’s own MagSafe wallet. That sounds like a feature you’d gloss over, but it actually stays locked on. You can pull out cards or flip the stand open without worrying about it pulling off of your iPhone.
Built-in iPhone stand
The stand is where this wallet goes beyond most options in this category. It’s adjustable between 15 and 160 degrees and works in both portrait and landscape. ESR says the hinge has been tested for over 8,000 uses, and so far, it feels solid. I used it to watch The Masters tournament recently while at a restaurant, and it was a perfect use case for it.
Wrap up
Overall, I love it. I love the separate slots for IDs and credit cards. It’s covered in vegan leather and has built-in degaussing protection to keep your cards from getting demagnetized. It’s compatible with every MagSafe iPhone except the 12 and 13 mini (RIP), and it works with official MagSafe cases and ESR’s own HaloLock cases. Right now, it’s my new everyday carry. The only thing it’s missing is Find My support.
