Luke Hemsworth opens up about his “bromance” with The Terminal List: Dark Wolf costar Chris Pratt in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE

Luke Hemsworth’s latest role isn’t just another job — it’s the chance to join a brotherhood.
Speaking to PEOPLE exclusively at the red carpet premiere screening of The Terminal List: Dark Wolf at Regal Times Square in New York City on Monday, Aug. 4, Hemsworth jokes, “It’s such a nightmare, you know, these people are so horrible to me.”
Hemsworth is referring to series co-creator and The Terminal List author Jack Carr, as well as costars Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch.
“It’s an honor to just stand next to [them],” he adds. “These guys are at the top of their game. They are my idols.”

Hemsworth praises Pratt as being “a very giving actor.”
“He allows you all of the space — he’s very collaborative,” he shares.
“He’s very open to, you know, working on stuff,” he continues. “I’m gushing because he’s just the most lovely human, he really is. It’s disgusting.”
As for the bond they forged on The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, Hemsworth says, “There’s a lot of bromance.”
Hemsworth says he’s “always been a huge fan” of Kitsch’s and that Pratt is “obviously part of the family.”
Further explaining what he means about Pratt, Hemsworth notes, “We’re all part of the Marvel family in one degree or another.”
It’s true, as Hemsworth made two cameos in brother Chris’ movies — first in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok and later in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
Pratt, of course, played Peter Quill — a.k.a. Star-Lord — in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy of films, released between 2014 and 2023, as well as in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. He also appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Hemsworth also reveals how he and the rest of the cast grew closer while filming.
“You spend most of your day waiting behind the scenes, so you get to know everyone’s personal life pretty intimately,” he says. “We’re in a foreign city, we’re shooting in Budapest and Vienna, and they were my only friends, so we’re sort of brought together by necessity.”
Hemsworth credits padel, a racket sport similar to tennis but on a smaller, enclosed court where the ball can be played off the wall like in squash, for bringing them together in their downtime.
“We played padel a lot, yeah,” he says. “It’s very, very competitive.”

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf focuses on Kitsch’s character, Ben Edwards, and his journey from SEAL to CIA operative.
Dark Wolf is a prequel series to The Terminal List, based on Carr’s 2018 book of the same name. That show starred Pratt as James Reece, a Navy SEAL seeking to avenge the murder of his family.
Pratt returns alongside Kitsch in Dark Wolf, with a cast including Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Robert Wisdom as Jed Haverford, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, Rona-Lee Shimons as Eliza Perash, Shiraz Tzarfati as Tal Varon, Jared Shaw as Ernest “Boozer” Vickers and Hemsworth as Jules Landry.
Hemsworth calls it “an honor” to play this role.
“It’s made for SEALS, it’s made for the military, and I think we do it really well,” he says. “We have some amazing advisors who are just helping me go left when I should be going right.”
