Luke Bryan Pulls the Ultimate Prank on Fans During Friday’s Concert: ‘That Is So Wrong’ originally appeared on Parade.
Fans who attended the Luke Bryan concert at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on Friday, August 8 thought they were about to get the surprise of their lives.
During the show, Bryan started chanting “TB 12! TB 12,” and the crowd started to chant right along with him, given that many of them understood what he was teasing. After all, the concert venue isn’t far from Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots — and also the former home to the “GOAT,” Tom Brady, whose jersey number on the team was 12.
Bryan then exclaimed, “And welcome to the stage, Tom Brady, y’all give it up!”
Needless to say, everybody started going wild… until Bryan quickly revealed he was pulling the ultimate prank.
“I’m just fu—-g with y’all! That is so wrong of me to do that to y’all.” He then asked, “Who did I get? Who did I get?”
Bryan then said, “Alright, I’m sorry,” before making a joke: “You know, he only plays golf with Morgan Wallen. I can’t get him on the phone.”
The prank was believable enough as it is, but coupled with the fact that Brady was just a few miles away at Gillette Stadium that night to unveil a new statue of him, people totally bought into it.

Someone who was seemingly at the show (or knew people who went) commented on the clip, saying, “My best friends believed it and screamed 😭”
Another fan added, “My husband got to his feet so fast when he said that 😂”
Another person seemed to know he was messing with the crowd, saying,
“I literally said ‘You tease!’ when he said it. Lmao, I was laughing so much during this 🤣”
Luke Bryan Concerts Are Always Eventful
Bryan loves to have a little fun with the fans at his concerts, and he does pull off a legit surprise from time to time. Back in May, he brought out Bon Jovi member David Bryan, and the two of them performed “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
And in June, he stopped a concert in Tampa mid-show to give a 21-year-old her very first beer.
No matter where you attend one of his shows, it’s bound to be a night to remember. And who knows? Maybe the GOAT will actually turn up on stage one of these days. Stranger things have happened, right?
