Lucy Liu absolutely shined in a recent red carpet appearance in New York City.
Ageless as ever, the actress, 56, posed for photos in a stunning red strapless gown by Jason Wu on Thursday the Asian American Foundation gala red carpet.
“Still floating from an unforgettable night with @stephaniehsuofficial , Vivek Ranadivé and the incredible @taaforg board and community,” she captioned a carousel of photos recapping the night. (Complete with a video of her glamorously twirling for photographers at the end of the slideshow.)
“There’s nothing like being in a room full of power, purpose, and stories that crack your heart open,” she added of the event. “Honored to witness the magic — and to be reminded that we’re stronger, louder, and more beautiful together.”

Designer Wu also posted a photo of the actress wearing his gown with the caption, “Grateful to celebrate a true icon of strength, style, and impact.”
Liu, who spoke at the organization’s Heritage Month Summit this week, alongside ABC’s Juju Chang, also took photos with fans — including one who designed the earrings that the star was actually wearing that day.
“She’s so real, hilarious, introspective, wise and intelligent,” the founder SUBLIMA jewelry posted. “To get to hear about the personal and professional journey of someone so talented and influential was a real privilege ~ and an even greater delight to discover her thoughtfulness and humility.”
Mostly known for her role in ‘Ally McBeal’ and ‘Charlie’s Angles,’ will also be debuting a new film, ‘Rosemead,’ at next month’s Tribeca Film Festival.
