‘Little House on the Prairie’ Star Stuns Fans With Visit to Local Texas Roadhouse originally appeared on Parade.
‘Little House on the Prairie’ star Dean Butler honored a memorable scene from the iconic show with a first-time visit to a popular chain restaurant.
“This is my first Texas Roadhouse, and the reason I’m here is because of the cinnamon butter,” he said in a TikTok video posted from the restaurant on Wednesday. “Now one of my favorite scenes in ‘Little House’ that I was involved in all the way back in the very very beginning was the wonderful cinnamon chicken scene with Nellie, so whenever I get an opportunity to have cinnamon…like cinnamon honey butter at Roadhouse, I’m taking it.”
In the scene he’s referring, to Laura Ingalls, played by Melissa Gilbert, wants to cook cinnamon chicken for Butler’s character, Alamanzo, as their romantic relationship is at its beginning stages. While she has good intentions to cook a nice dinner for her crush, her plan is derailed when Nellie, played by Alison Arngrim, intentionally gives a recipe with too much cinnamon, resulting in a comically inedible dish.
And while fans in the comments chimed in saying how much they loved the scene, others were simply surprised to see him in the restaurant.
“Not ever being to Texas Roadhouse is a crime,” one blatantly said and another similarly added, “I’d literally freak if I was at roadhouse and I seen you.”

“Did anybody there recognize you? It would be awesome to meet Almanzo at a Texas Roadhouse,” another wrote.
