Lisa Brings the No-Pants Look to the Met Gala in a Shimmery Bodysuit

Last month, Blackpink’s Lisa made her debut as a solo performer at Coachella. This evening, she’s making her Met Gala debut. The singer brought the no-pants look to the Met Gala, embodying the night’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme in a shimmery blazer and bodysuit. She accessorized with a pendant necklace and Louis Vuitton bag.

Lisa has had an explosive 2025 so far. She recently celebrated the release of The White Lotus and her new solo album Alter Ego. In just two months, she and her Blackpink bandmates Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie will begin their world tour. Before then, Rosé told The Cut in February, “We will be coming out with new music soon.”

Lisa told ELLE in our September issue that the K-pop quartet knew they wanted to continue working together as a group after taking time to work on solo projects. “Of course we’re continuing, for sure,” she said. “We’re so proud of Blackpink, and I love Blackpink. It is not just because of our fans, it’s for ourselves.” She added in Korean, “There was no doubt. This is our life.”

In January 2025, Lisa spoke to V magazine about how she hasn’t planned too far ahead as her career continues to evolve in new directions. “Right now I’m living on a month-by-month schedule, or every day by day,” she said. “So I haven’t even thought about what [the] next year is going to look like. But of course, I just want to focus on the release of this album first, and then The White Lotus is coming up as well.”

When the show’s finale aired last month, Lisa reflected on the experience shooting the series on Instagram. “What a ride,” she began. “Thank you Mike White for trusting in me to fulfill the role of Mook and bring her character to life. It was the greatest honor to be part of this show as my first acting role alongside such incredible actors. And I’m so proud to be able to share my culture and show the beauty of Thailand to the world. Mook has changed my life in a way where I am learning more about myself and my capabilities. My Sunday nights may feel a lot emptier but closing out The White Lotus with a full heart ❤️🪷”
