Lindsay Lohan’s son doesn’t know yet that his mom is a famous actress.
On Monday, July 28, the actress, 39, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and shared that although her 2-year-old son Luai, whom she shares with husband Bader Shammas, isn’t quite old enough to appreciate any of her iconic films, he did happen to see her when she appeared on a segment for Good Morning America. However, the toddler didn’t quite know what to make of it.
“Baby’s too young to watch any of your films, right?” Fallon asks.
“No, I mean, he’s seen me…Actually, this morning, he was with my in-laws and my husband, and I was doing Good Morning America,” Lohan explains. “And he was like, ‘Mommy, come out! Mommy!’ He thought I was like, stuck.”

“Oh, in the TV?” Fallon clarifies.
“So now I’m like, now that he’s getting older and more aware, I’m like, kind of scared. I don’t want him to think…like get confused,” Lohan says.
Fallon laughs and looks into the camera, saying that the two are okay and having fun before asking which of her films she would show her son.
“I feel like maybe Herbie the Love Bug because it’s cars and fun,” Lohan says, referring to her 2005 film Herbie: Fully Loaded.
Speaking with PEOPLE for last week’s cover story, the Freakier Friday star revealed that there’s one thing her son Luai does every morning.
“Right now he’s just running everywhere, and I need to get that under control,” she told PEOPLE. “He loves dance time in the morning. That’s a big thing.”

Earlier this summer, the family of three celebrated Luai’s birthday with a dino-themed party. After the event, Lohan shared a photo recap of how her son’s big day went.
“Happy Birthday to our sunshine, our sweetest boy, our heart, Luai! 💛 ,” she began the caption to an Instagram carousel. The cover photo on the post showed the actress smiling with her husband, Bader Shammas, as she held their son on her hip.
“Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of our life. You light up every room (and keep us all on our toes 😅), and we are so proud to be your mama and daddy,” her caption continued.
“You are the deepest love we have ever known, the wildest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose,” the proud mom wrote. “You have given our lives a whole new meaning, and we are grateful every single day.”
The series of photos showed a dinosaur-themed birthday party, complete with green, tan and brown balloons decorating a backdrop that read “Luai 2Rex” and featured large prehistoric animal figures.
