Legendary Rocker Stevie Nicks Makes First Post After Injury Postponed Tour originally appeared on Parade.
Stevie Nicks is ready to return to fighting form and get back on the stage.
Last month, the rock ’n’ roll icon sustained a shoulder injury while in the midst of her national tour that left her with only two options for nine of her upcoming shows: cancel or postpone.
A seasoned pro, Nicks wasn’t going to let anything stand in the way of performing for her fans, so she opted to postpone, pushed the nine impacted shows, originally scheduled for August and September, into October.
Nicks, 77, is scheduled to pick up where she left off on Wednesday, Oct. 1 in Portland, Oregon, and while the shoulder injury certainly won’t keep her out of the ring for long, the rocker is itching to get back to business as usual.
“I can’t wait to get back on the road with you…see you soon✨ Love, Stevie,” she captioned a post with the revised tour schedule.

Once recovered, Nicks will finish out the remaining 17 shows in cities across the country, from Boston to Phoenix and everywhere in between.
As much as fans want the Queen of Rock and Roll back in action, they definitely want her to recover fully first.
“See you in November. I can’t wait! I hope you’re getting all the rest you need. ❤️” commented one ticket holder.
“We miss you! Get lots of rest and have lots of gluten free brownies,” said another thoughtful fan.
“Feel better, Stevie✨ Can’t wait to celebrate Halloween in Hartford🧡,” wrote a third.
Nicks isn’t one known for slowing down, especially as of late. The septuagenarian also recently announced the rerelease of her 1973 record with storied former lover and Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham, due out in September.
Before Nicks and Buckingham were brought into the Fleetwood Mac fold, they were a duo. The pair released a record, Buckingham Nicks, in 1973. ‘Frozen Love,’ a song from the record, caught the attention of Mick Fleetwood, who invited Buckingham to join the band.
Buckingham, in a split-second decision that would go on to be one of the most decisive in rock ’n’ roll, told Fleetwood that he and Nicks came as a package deal. The rest is history, for better and oftentimes for worse.
Fans have been long awaiting a full-blown Fleetwood Mac tour, with on-again off-again collaborators, Nicks and Buckingham, sharing the stage for the first time in a long time. Rumors have certainly been swirling, but for now that’s all they are, just like the record that launched Fleetwood Mac into superstardom.
Until then, fans will delight in watching Nicks take the stage once again this October.
