‘Law and Order: SVU’ Star, 45, Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance With Her Husband originally appeared on Parade.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Kelli Giddish and her husband, Beau Richards, the father of her youngest child, Oldie, recently posed together on the red carpet.
Swoon reported that Giddish and Richards, who don’t usually make public appearances together, headed over to Tribeca Film Festival to see the documentary My Mom Jayne, which focuses on Law & Order: SVU star, Mariska Hargitay‘s famous mother, Jayne Mansfield.
For the June 13 event, Giddish opted to wear a beige tulle skirt and a matching crop top. The 41-year-old also sported a cream jacket and black shoes. Meanwhile, Richards, who married Giddish in 2021, wore a chambray shirt underneath a grey suit. He finished off the look with a tie, dress shoes, and a flat cap.
Giddish, who portrays Detective Amanda Rollins, originally stepped away from Law & Order: SVU during the show’s 24th season. However, the actress will be a full-time Season 27 cast member, as reported by TVLine. According to TVLine, the actress briefly appeared during the show’s 25th and 26th seasons.
While speaking to the publication in June 2025, Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T, who plays Fin Tutuola, said he was excited about Giddish’s full-time return.
“Kelli is dope. Me and her were teammates and partners,” said Ice-T to the publication. “I fell in love with Kelli as a person. She’s just a sweetheart.”
In addition, Ice-T said he did not expect Giddish, who joined the cast during the show’s 13th season, to leave when she did. He also said that Law & Order: SVU fans are the reason Giddish is returning to portray Rollins.
“No one really expected her to leave the show. We got blindsided by that. But the fans said they wanted to see Kelli back, so she’s coming back,” said Ice-T during the June 2025 interview.
The publication reported that Hargitay, who directed My Mom Jayne, made similar statements about Giddish’s return during a May 2025 Deadline interview.
“She is a formidable actress and an incredibly creative partner and has been such a joy and huge part of the fabric of SVU. I love her, and I love acting with her and co-creating with her, and it feels like home with her,” said Hargitay, who famously plays Detective Olivia Benson.
