Lauren Sánchez went from custom designer bridal looks to early aughts street style.
This Monday, the new Mrs. Bezos was spotted leaving restaurant Torissi in New York City in a look that reminded me of the outfits I used to wear to go out clubbing as a teenager.
The fit was composed of a skintight little black dress, a cropped denim jacket, and knee-high boots. The cutoff jacket was a vintage-wash blue denim, and the dress was a body-hugging black leather midi.
For the stormy day, the former journalist chose a not-so-rain-appropriate shoe: tall black leather Louboutin boots with high platform soles painted bright red, and stiletto heels. Sánchez accessorized her throwback fit with the black Hermès Niloticus Crocodile Kelly bag with golden hardware that she wore earlier this week, to top off her gym outfit.
For jewelry, Sánchez popped on a pair of large diamond stud earrings, a gold chain pendant necklace, and her massive diamond engagement ring from Amazon boss Jeff Bezos.
Bezos and Sánchez married in a lavish wedding in Venice, Italy, last month. The star-studded three-day event was followed by a relaxing honeymoon aboard the couple’s superyacht. The newlyweds sailed around Capri, Italy, with friends Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom (who reunited after an alleged split) before Sánchez took a solo detour to Paris for Haute Couture Week. While in France, she emerged in a red corset minidress.
Now the couple is back in the Big Apple, and Sánchez, it seems, is back in the 2000s.
