Larsa Pippen has revealed details on where she stands with former best friend Kim Kardashian.
The reality megastars used to share a tight bond, often traveling together and frequently posting with one another on social media. Kardashian, 44, is even the godmother of Pippen’s 16-year-old daughter, Sophia, whom she shares with ex-husband Scottie Pippen.
However, the uber-famous socialites haven’t appeared close in years. Pippen, 51, gave some updates on where the former duo stand today in a July 2025 episode of The Jason Lee Show, revealing that Kardashian has kept her godmother status despite their falling out.
“I feel like Sophia has a good relationship with Kim,” said The Real Housewives of Miami(RHOM) star,noting that Sophia “still hangs out” with the Kardashian-Jenner family.
“They’re loving to her, so I feel like I don’t want to tarnish that. It’s fine,” she continued.
Although Kardashian and Sophia remain close, Pippen does not have any plans to patch up her friendship with the SKIMS founder.
“I’m not the same person I was yesterday. And I feel like I’m good.”
News of a feud between the former best friends began when fans noticed that the Kardashian-Jenner clan unfollowed Pippen on Instagram in July 2020, per People.
That same month, Pippen wrote on X, “I Woke up this morning blessed and see that everybody is focused on who I am following and who I am not following on social media.
“I am focused on my children, my new fitness brand Larsapippenfitness, and my relationships in real life.”
During a November 2020 appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast, Pippen acknowledged that she and Kardashian “clearly have a different type of relationship” than they previously shared, but that she couldn’t point to a specific incident that caused their falling out, per E! News.
However, Pippen suggested that Kardashian’s then-husband, Kanye West, had a hand in their rift.
“I just feel like Kanye was in a place where he, you know, he really didn’t trust anyone with Kim. So, I feel like I was the person that was like, ‘Oh, like, don’t be so close to her because you’re so close to her’ that, you know, that kind of had something to do with it.”
In a 2022 episode ofRHOM, Pippen gave further details on the situation.
“I was best friends with Kim, and I love her and I love Kanye, and I just was the person that was stuck in the middle,” she said, per People.
“I took a beating because I was the friend that was basically there and saw everything. And that basically was the demise of our relationship. I knew too much, I was a problem, and so, whatever. That’s kind of what happened.”
Kardashian has yet to publicly address her falling out with Pippen.
