Lacey Chabert’s eight-year-old daughter, Julia, is helping her clean her closet by giving her some honest clothing reviews.
Chabert shared the adorable scene in a video on Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday, May 7, that showed her and her daughter playing “Love it or leave it.”
The video began with Chabert trying on a jacket she brought from Roots in Canada during the filming of Mean Girls, which was released in 2004.

“Yeah, it was actually 21 years ago, believe it or not,” Chabert tells her daughter before adding that it is “an obvious answer” whether she will keep it.
After Julia excitedly declares that she loves it, Chabert tries on a gray babydoll jacket that her daughter tells her to leave.
“It’s too like pizzazz for you,” Julia tells her, causing Chabert to explain how much it meant to her.
“This is a Burberry jacket that I saved so hard to buy at the time. I waited till it was on sale, on sale, on sale, an extra 25 off that. I used points. I put it on a card. I got it for like $4 in the end. This is a forever piece, isn’t it?” says Chabert to which Julia replies, “Or a $100, you mean?”
Julia ultimately declared, however, that it is something that is both “love it and leave it.” Chabert then switches into a purple jacket that her daughter loves “extra, extra, extra.”
Her mom then explains that the article of clothing has been sitting in her closet for “like 10 years” after she purchased it at a sample sale.

After Julia asks if a sample sale is like a garage sale, her mom responds that “it’s like a garage sale but for different brands” and agrees that it makes her look like a peacock.
“Of course it sat in my closet for 10 years, which is such a shame, but maybe I should just bust it out and wear it on a random Monday.”
Keeping on the jacket theme, Chabert then switches into a brown fur-lined jacket, which her daughter says “is like too chic for you.”
“It’s good for wintertime for you, but it’s kind of like too, like, ‘You’re the queen.’ It’s like fancy but not fancy, but, like, you know what I mean?” Julia asks, to which Chabert interprets as being “too much.”

“This was like for a look and it just hasn’t quite had its moment,” explains Chabert.
Chabert then switches into a white blazer, which her daughter says she loves because “it’s not too fancy but it’s not too boring and its like what you would wear to like work or when you go to lunch.”
Julia is surprised when her mom switches into a floral blazer, which she says makes her look like “a giant bouquet” of flowers. Although Julia says to leave it, Chabert says she will keep it.

The video ends with Chabert trying on a black jacket that her daughter suggests she wears to a party, and a red plaid blazer Julia says she loves because her mom is “the queen of Christmas.”
