The ‘Queen of Sorority Rush’ is back for round 2!

After announcing that she would be taking a pause from her senior year rush duties at the beginning of the week, Kylan Darnell has announced that she will be returning for the Sisterhood round of rush at the University of Alabama.

In a new video shared to her TikTok page, Darnell opened with her signature greeting, “Hey y’all, I hope you’re having a great day, not just a good day,” before addressing what she referred to as “a lot of speculations” and “questions” circulating online.

“I did say that I was taking a mental health break because of a lot of things that were being said, and it was a lot for me at the time,” she explained of her decision to pull back from the recruitment activities during her senior year.

“But, I feel better now and I’m all good!” she continued, sounding chipper.

In the video, Kylan wears a turquoise body-con dress with a pink floral Zeta ascot tied around her neck — ready for recruitment in Zeta Tau Alpha’s official colors.

Darnell, who took the Philanthropy round of recruitment off, said she was excited to be back on campus with her sorority sisters, having previously told PEOPLE that she was hoping to return to rush the second round.

“I can’t wait to tell girls about our sisterhood,” she said in the video. “I can’t wait to be there with my friends. It’s going to be so much fun,” she said, showing off her outfit for the day.

She also took a moment to thank those who had reached out to her during her brief hiatus. “Thank you so much to all the people that were in my DMs sending me positive messages. I really appreciated it and it really helped me during the time. I’m just glad that I feel good and I’m happy again,” she said.

Darnell — who went viral during her freshman year for her upbeat Rush TikToks and OOTDs — has become one of the most recognizable faces of #BamaRush, drawing attention on social media at the start of each school year for her content documenting the University of Alabama’s sorority recruitment process.

Joining her in a later video was Kylan’s younger sister, Izzy, who is currently participating in recruitment at the University of Alabama as a freshman.

The pair did a fit check together, breaking down their outfits, though some were quick to point out that the sister duo might have been violating a key rule of recruitment by being in videos together: active members are not allowed to make contact with potential new members.

According to the Alabama Panhellenic Association’s Greek Chic Recruitment Guide, during the primary recruitment period, “sorority members may wear letters, but may not converse with or contact any potential new members regarding recruitment or sorority-related topics directly or indirectly through friends outside of designated recruitment parties.”

“Beginning with the first day of work week and ending with the start of strict silence, active sorority members and PNMs are not allowed to initiate or make contact or communicate over Facebook or any other social networking site, excluding ‘likes’ on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc,” the rule states.

While the girls might be allowed to be in contact, a period of “strict silence” will be in place beginning at the time that a “PNM concludes her last preference event and ends with Bid Day activites,” during which “there will be no conversation or contact or social activity between Potential New Members and sorority members,” per the recruitment guide.
