The powerhouse performer, who originated the role of Glinda in Wicked on Broadway, took to social media to express her sadness over the death of Muumi, the show’s beloved stage dog.

The Queen of Versailles is a Broadway musical.
Kristin Chenoweth and Homeland star F. Murray Abraham portray real-life billionaire couple Jackie and David Siegel.
The musical is based on the 2012 documentary by Lauren Greenfield.
Muumi portrayed the Siegels’ dog, Chyna Bear, on stage.

I loved sharing the stage with her in Boston. These animals that bless us in this life are just so special, y’all. They truly feel like family. I wish dogs lived forever!! RIP Muumi ❤️🩹🐶”

Broadway Opening Details
The Queen of Versailles is scheduled to begin previews on Broadway on October 8, 2025, at the St. James Theatre in New York City. Opening night is set for November 9, 2025. The show originally premiered in Boston in August 2024.
