Kristi Noem Kills Too Many Puppies to Count in Bold New “South Park ”Episode About ICE Raids

NEED TO KNOW

  • South Park continued its mockery of the Trump administration with the second episode of season 27

  • The new episode focused on ICE raids led by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who is continuously depicted killing puppies throughout the episode — a callback to her infamous memoir anecdote about shooting one of her young hunting dogs

  • The show’s social media account also fired back at the real-life ICE using a screenshot for recruiting purposes

South Park took on President Donald Trump and his MAGA leaders once again in their second episode of season 27.

In the new episode, titled “Got a Nut,” the satirical half-animated version of Trump returns, as does his lover, Satan. (Vice President JD Vance appears as a pint-sized lackey, offering up baby oil for their tryst.) But the true focus of the episode is Trump’s amped-up deportation efforts, led by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

When South Park Elementary counselor Mr. Mackey is laid off from the school due to budget cuts and forced to join up with ICE in the episode, he learns just how far the cartoon Noem and her team are taking their efforts.

The ICE tactical team raids a performance of “Dora the Explorer Live!” with the directive to “take these bad hombres down.” Then, after a reminder that there are “many Latinos in heaven,” Noem, Mackey and ICE raid there too.

“Remember, only detain the brown ones,” Noem directs as angels scramble to evade detention. “If it’s brown, it goes down!”

The episode also repeatedly makes a mockery of Noem’s recently updated facial features — which have to be reapplied by a glam team multiple times in the show — as well as her infamous anecdote about shooting her puppy. The former South Dakota governor wrote about personally putting down a “less than worthless” hunting dog in her 2024 memoir, No Going Back.

In the episode, Noem references the real-life dog shooting in a fictional ICE recruiting video, and caps off every scene by pulling out a gun and killing a different puppy. “A few years ago, I had to put my puppy down by shooting it in the face. Because sometimes doing what’s important means doing what’s hard,” she tells the recruits.

From that point on in the episode, the canine killing spree continues in bloody fashion. Noem guns down a service dog at the “Dora Live!” performance, shoots an angel puppy flying around in heaven, and even snipes Superman’s dog companion, Krypto, who is coming to save characters that are trapped at Mar-a-Lago.

The episode ends with the DHS secretary walking into a store called “Pets Galore” and opening fire for nearly 25 seconds as the credits roll over the sound of puppies whimpering. When one puppy escapes the pet store at the end of the rampage, she runs outside and finishes it off.

Despite clearly being mocked by the long-running series, some of Trump’s MAGA cohorts have characterized their depictions as a badge of honor.

Vance took to X to repost a screenshot of his South Park self, writing, “Well, I’ve finally made it.” Right-wing media personality Charlie Kirk, who was also spoofed in the episode, changed his profile picture to the show’s depiction of Cartman as his “master debater” doppelganger. And the official ICE account even posted an image of the episode’s fake ICE recruits along with a sign-up link.

South Park reposted the ICE callout, with the caption, “Wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofdicks.” This was in reference to the Trump White House’s response to the incendiary season 27 premiere, in which they said the show “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”

“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end — for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers previously said in a statement. “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows.”
