Kristi Noem has fired back after being mocked in the latest episode of ‘South Park’
The DHS head admitted she didn’t see the episode, but called the mockery of her facial features “lazy”
In the episode, Noem leads an ICE raid on heaven and shoots dozens of dogs
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t appreciate being the target of South Park’s latest episode.
In the second episode of their long-awaited 27th season, which aired on Wednesday, an animated version of Noem heads up a group of new ICE recruits — including South Park Elementary counselor Mr. Mackey.
The tactical team raids a performance of “Dora the Explorer Live!” with the directive to “take these bad hombres down.” Then, after a reminder that there are “many Latinos in heaven,” Noem, Mackey and ICE raid there too.
“Remember, only detain the brown ones,” Noem directs as angels scramble to evade detention. “If it’s brown, it goes down!”
The episode also repeatedly calls back the former South Dakota governor’s infamous anecdote about shooting her puppy.
Noem wrote about personally putting down a “less than worthless” hunting dog in her 2024 memoir, No Going Back, and throughout the episode, she guns down countless dogs, including a service dog and Superman’s pup, Krypto.
But it seems what Noem objected to most about the episode was the mockery of her recently updated facial features — which have to be reapplied by a glam team multiple times in the show as they slide off her face.

“It never ends, but it’s so lazy to constantly make fun of women for how they look,” Noem, 53, said on Glenn Beck’s podcast on Thursday. “It’s always the liberals and the extremists who do that. If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t, [so] they just pick something petty like that.”
She did admit, however, that she didn’t watch the episode, as she was busy “going over budget numbers and stuff.”

Despite clearly being mocked by the long-running series, some of Trump’s MAGA cohorts have characterized their South Park depictions so far this season as a badge of honor.
Vice president J.D. Vance took to X to repost a screenshot of his South Park self, writing, “Well, I’ve finally made it.” Right-wing media personality Charlie Kirk, who was also spoofed in the episode, changed his profile picture to the show’s depiction of Cartman as his “master debater” doppelganger. And the official ICE account even posted an image of the episode’s fake ICE recruits along with a sign-up link.

South Park reposted the ICE callout, with the caption, “Wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofdicks.” This was in reference to the Trump White House’s response to the incendiary season 27 premiere, in which they said the show “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”
“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end — for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers previously said in a statement. “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows.”
