Kim Kardashian had some choice words for a 2025 Met Gala security guard, it seems.
A series of now-viral videos show Kardashian, 44, leaving the Ritz-Carlton hotel in New York City on Monday, May 5, before arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The reality star was departing the hotel, alongside eldest daughter North West, to board a sprinter van when a security guard appeared to step on the train of her dress.
Kardashian appeared to briefly trip before quickly turning around and putting her hand out to move the security guard off her gown. She gave him a look, most of which was masked by the hat that completed her look, before tossing her hair over her shoulder and continuing on her journey.

Kardashian was wearing a black leather Chrome Hearts dress and matching fedora to interpret this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme. Similar to her past Met Gala looks, the reality star made a splash with her outfit, which featured a low-cut skirt nearly showing off the top of her butt.

“I just love Chrome Hearts, and we wanted to have our little take on it,” Kardashian said during her Vogue interview at the event. “It’s like a vest-suit with a dress.”
Kardashian has attended the star-studded event every year for more than a decade, making her debut in 2013 alongside then-husband Kanye West. (Aside from North, the former spouses are also parents to Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.)

Before walking this year’s Met Gala red carpet, Kardashian said that North offered her some advice.
“It’s actually been a very chill day,” the Skims founder said. “Every time I come to the Met, I love bringing my oldest daughter with me, just to see me get ready. All her aunties are in the hotel and we’re all getting ready together. It’s a fun few days.”
Kardashian called her daughter “a big critiquer” of fashion.
“It’s pretty good, her critiquing. Just be yourself, right,” Kardashian added. “She’s in a really positive vibe right now where it’s just, ‘Even if that’s not my style I’m not going to critique that because just be you, and if you like that then that’s what you should be into.’ I love that energy.”
The businesswoman called her daughter “a positive force” ahead of the event.
“She always comes in the car and then I drop her off,” Kardashian explained. Several outlets have reported that Met Gala attendees must be 18 years or older.
