Just days before his death at 76, Kelly Osbourne stood up for her father, Ozzy Osbourne, after receiving what she called an “incredibly rude” message criticizing her understanding of his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

In a candid Instagram Story shared on July 14, the Fashion Police alum, 40, posted a screenshot of a direct message from a social media user who claimed Kelly “does not understand how Parkinson’s disease works.”

“This is the s–t I wake up to. Wtf is wrong with people?” Kelly wrote alongside the message.

The user had written, “Kelli, do you understand how Parkinson’s disease works? The fact that you keep saying your dad isn’t dying just shows that you do not understand how Parkinson’s disease works.!!”

They went on to claim, “Parkinson’s disease eventually stops the people from breathing and functioning and they die from Parkinson’s if he’s stage five and he just said that he doesn’t feel good and his health is failing. You need to trust what he’s saying not what you’re hoping. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you but stage five Parkinson’s does mean that you are dying.”

But Kelly did not let the message slide. In a follow-up Story, she shared her direct response to the user, fiercely defending her dad and calling out misinformation.

“Believe me I fully understand how this works,” she began. “Your message is incredibly rude. So firstly I want to tell you to go f–k yourself! He is not in stage 5!!!”

She continued, “That is not the way his kind of Parkinson’s works. You are a nasty c–t for sending anyone a message like this. Stop watching AI generated content and stop perpetuating the bulls–t. I don’t really respond messages such as this but you really pissed me off how dare you!”

Kelly also addressed comments made by her mother, Sharon Osbourne, in the past about a so-called “suicide pact” with Ozzy—remarks that have resurfaced recently due to an AI-generated video.

“Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact,” she wrote. “That was bulls–t my mom said to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop.”

Kelly’s staunch support of her late father comes after news that the heavy metal legend and beloved “Prince of Darkness” died Tuesday just weeks after giving fans one final farewell in his hometown of Birmingham.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” the Black Sabbath frontman emotionally told fans during the show, which was billed as his “final bow.”

The band’s hits include the likes of “Iron Man,” “Paranoid” and “War Pigs,” with Ozzy later soaring as a solo artist with anthems like “Crazy Train” and “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” He became a household name in the 2000s thanks to MTV’s The Osbournes, bringing his wild family life into living rooms across the world.

Osbourne had been open about his health struggles in recent years, including revealing his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2003, and complications he later suffered following a 2019 fall. Still, he made several, rare public appearances over the years and participated in his family’s podcast.

In addition to Kelly, the Grammy-winning performer, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame both as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath, is survived by his wife Sharon, their children Aimee and Jack, and his two children from a previous marriage, Jessica and Louis, as well as his five grandchildren.
