Kelly Clarkson shocked fans when she dropped her new single “Where Have You Been?” on her SiriusXM channel a day early—and they’re all saying the same thing about the song.
On Thursday, May 1, the American Idol alum, 43, took to Instagram with the exciting announcement.

In the video, Clarkson revealed, “All right, y’all, for the first time ever—a whole day early—on the Kelly Clarkson Connection SiriusXM channel, I’m going to be playing my new single ‘Where Have You Been.’ I hope you dig it!”
There was just one problem: Fans rushed to Clarkson’s channel and her song was nowhere to be found for many.
One Instagram user shared, “I just signed up for this app to hear the song and can’t find it! Help!!!”
Another shared, “Anyone else having trouble finding the song???”
Someone else begged, “Kelly play it on loop we can’t find it.”
Meanwhile, yet another commented, “Can anyone tell me how we listen? I’ve been listening since this was posted and I haven’t heard it. Do we have to sit and listen to her show until she decides to play it?”
Another Instagram replied, “Glad it isn’t just me! I’m guessing we have to just listen to the channel til it comes on? 😬.”

Additionally, international fans lamented not being able to listen to the new single early.
One wrote, “Why is siriusxm not available in my country 😭🥹 i can’t wait for fridaaaaay!”
“Damn, it’s not available in Australia 😢,” a second complained.
“Not available in uk 😭😭,” a third fan mourned.
For those who were able to give “Where Have You Been” an early listen, the trouble they went through to find the song seemed to be worth it.
“OMG…. It’s amazing! Love You & all you bring to our lives!! ❤️❤️,” one fan declared.
Another shared, “Giving me chemistry 2.0 vibes as far as feel.”
On Wednesday, Clarkson shared a short snippet of the song via Instagram to tide fans over until the single’s May 2 release.
“I like my freedom but I’d trade some for a kiss…” she sang in the one-liner teaser.

“Where Have You Been” marks Clarkson’s first new non-holiday music release since her 2023 album Chemistry, SiriusXM noted in a news release.
