Kelly Clarkson fans know that she can seemingly sing any genre, regularly blowing people away with her renditions of popular songs on the “Kellyoke” segment of her eponymous talk show.
And that seems to extend to regular requests for her to team up with unexpected artists on new material or reimaginings of old classics.

But now, after a rainy performance during the Today show Citi Concert Series on May 6, fans are asking for a collaboration that’s truly out there.
While Clarkson delighted the audience with a stellar performance in New York City, eagle-eyed fans noticed someone in the crowd who was dressed like the Lorax.
Yes, the Dr. Seuss character that speaks for the trees in the children’s book by the same name.

The Today show posted a video of Clarkson singing in the foreground, with the Lorax animatedly jumping up and down while singing, along with the caption “the collab we never knew we needed,” and fans immediately gave their opinions in the comments.
“Ummm .. YES!!!” said one enthusiastic fan as others agreed, writing, “I love it!” and teasing that “Dr. Seuss is trembling.”
The official Dr. Seuss Instagram page wrote, “The Lorax gets it,” and even the official page of Clarkson’s talk show chimed in, commenting, “well yes.”
