Parker McCollum and Miranda Lambert organized Band Together Texas to support those affected by the July floods in Texas.

Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall and the Randy Rogers Band will take the stage at Moody Center in Austin.

Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid, former University of Texas Longhorns coach Mack Brown and football players Emmanuel Acho, Colt McCoy and Vince Young will also be part of the benefit show. Texas natives Roger Clemens and Chris Harrison will also make appearances on Aug. 17.

Along with the star-studded lineup of appearances, the event will also feature “tributes to first responders and flood victims, including stories of rescue and resilience shared on stage by emergency personnel,” per a press release.

Blackstock died at age 48 on Thursday, Aug. 7. “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” a rep for the family told PEOPLE in a statement at the time.

“He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

Blackstock’s cause of death was melanoma, a form of skin cancer; the manner of death was natural causes. “Brandon Blackstock passed away peacefully at his home in Butte, Montana on August 7th under hospice care surrounded by his family,” Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis told PEOPLE.

Clarkson, 43 and Blackstock share daughter River, 11 and son Remington, 9. They were married from 2013 until Clarkson filed for divorce in 2020. The divorce was finalized two years later.

A source told PEOPLE that Clarkson was “staying strong” for their children following his death and that she is “heartbroken” for them.

“Kelly and Brandon had their ups and downs, but at the end of the day, he was the father of her children and she is absolutely heartbroken for them,” the source said. “Her kids are her entire world, and she’s staying strong for their sake.”
