Sheer white lace is quickly staking its claim as the look of the season. Light, airy, and just a little bride-coded, it’s easy to see why. Blake Lively was the embodiment of carefree summer vibes in a sheer white lace gown the same day as Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit against her was dismissed. Scarlett Johnasson also looked summery and fresh in a sheer white lace gown at a recent Jurassic World Rebirth premiere—where she locked lips with Jonathan Bailey, much to everyone everywhere’s collective jealousy. Kate Hudson channeled some retro festival vibes as she donned a sheer white lace boho dress for an outdoor performance. Nicole Kidman looked witchy-meets-chic in her take on the trend at a premiere of Spellbound. And now, Keira Knightley is the latest celebrity to put her stamp on the summery trend.

The sheer two-piece featured a midi dress and a matching cardigan
Attending the 3rd Nouvelles Vagues International Biarritz Film Festival in Biarritz, France on June 28, the Pride & Prejudice actress wore a delicate white lace slipdress made of an open floral mesh fabric that was almost completely see-through. She wore a matching round neck cardigan over the dress, buttoned all the way up. She paired the all-white ensemble with a pair of Y2K-coded black heeled sliders. She wore her blunt bob center parted in soft waves.

She wore black heeled sliders with the look
Knightley, a long-time ambassador of Chanel, often rocks a strong all-white look. Last July, for instance, she wore a one-sleeved white linen dress with a sheer panel at the bottom and a black ribbon strap along with a straw boater hat to Wimbledon.
