Longtime Chanel muse Keira Knightley was a vision of timeless elegance as she continued her Paris Fashion Week appearances at the French luxury designer’s show on Tuesday, July 8. Ahead of the unveiling of Chanel’s Haute-Couture Fall/Winter 2025-26 collection, the Pride & Prejudice star posed alongside her rarely-seen husband James Righton—and shared some sweet PDA—before the private couple took their seats at the runway event.
Despite being married to Knightley for over a decade, the British musician flies under the radar much more than his other half. On Tuesday, Righton—who donned a classic blue blazer and tapered pants paired with an undone light blue dress shirt and black leather loafers—could be seen holding hands with Knightley and chatting with her as they headed to the fashion show in Paris.

In contrast to her husband’s all-blue look, Knightley was the ultimate Chanel belle of the ball in a black-and-white printed graphic halterneck gown. In contrast to its bold abstract design, the Pirates of the Caribbean alum’s floor-length dress featured a delicate halter design that showed off her shoulders and completely bare back. The flowy chiffon material added extra movement with multiple tiny tiers of ruffles that were trimmed with black at the bottoms, adding a sculptural, 3-D silhouette to Knightley’s sleeveless look.

Knightley and Righton, who wed in 2013, rarely speak about their marriage and share two daughters whom they also keep out of the Hollywood spotlight. Despite the longevity of her marriage, the Black Doves star—who said “I do” while wearing a tulle Chanel dress that she later re-wore at the 2013 Children’s Network London Gala—previously admitted that she never planned to get married.

“My parents are deeply hippy. They got married because it was the only way they could get a mortgage at the time,” Knightley told TimeOut in a 2013 interview. She joked, “I grew up with them going, ‘Don’t know why you’d ever get married.’ And then we did. It’s nice. It’s been fun. Until it isn’t and then you get divorced. Fingers crossed for the future.”
