  • On a new episode of her podcast, The Pre-Game, Kayla Nicole spoke with guest Kamie Crawford about their experiences in relationships and resulting philosophies.

  • Both women agreed that there isn’t necessarily only one perfect match for each person, and Nicole noted that she believes that idea “does a disservice to women.”

  • The influencer said she thinks “alignment” is the most important aspect of compatibility.

Kayla Nicole isn’t limiting herself to having just one soulmate, and she doesn’t think that mentality is helping anyone else either.

On the most recent episode of her podcast, The Pre-Game, the influencer, 33, spoke to guest Kamie Crawford about their relationship philosophies. While Crawford said she believes there “can be” one perfect match for a person, she ultimately said it was an “unrealistic” way to go about dating.

Nicole agreed, noting, “I think it does a disservice to women in particular, especially just like young girls. I feel like growing up, that’s what I was taught.”

She and Crawford both pointed to the “Prince Charming” trope that commonly shapes girls’ expectations for their future relationships.

“You have your one, your one and only,” Nicole continued during the episode, which was released on Friday, May 2. “But … this is how my mind works: If I only have one and my one is with someone else because he thinks that that’s his one, then I’m just left without my one for the rest of my life.”

The podcaster concluded that she does believe people have “multiples” of matches, “but alignment is what really matters most,” she reflected in conversation with Crawford. “You guys need to be at the right place in your journey of life, and you need to meet together at that point. Whether it means like your healing journey, financial journey, your career journey.”

Since the show’s debut in April, Nicole has consistently opened up about her romantic experiences on The Pre-Game. In her first episode, she explained how her past relationship with ex Travis Kelce impacted her dating style in a long-term way.

The reporter started dating the record-breaking NFL star in 2017, and they continued an on-again, off-again relationship for five years.

Though she never named the Kansas City Chiefs tight end by name, she left listeners with no uncertainty when she answered, “Absolutely.” She maintained that the public “won’t ever see me with a man ever again until I’m married with kids.”

She clarified that her current privacy ethos is not necessarily her “being sneaky,” as she noted some men suspect. “In reality, I’m protecting me, and I’m protecting you,” said Nicole. She admitted she is indeed “dating and hiding” but said the covert approach was working well for her.

“I’m the queen of a private room in a back room in a corner closet. And I have no shame in it,” the former WAG told her audience.
