It’s still not quite warm enough out for us to fully embrace all the spring and summer fashion trends, as much as we might want to. *Sigh.* But one person who’s wasting no time is Katy Perry. Although admittedly, as much as her latest ensemble is new season, the trends (read: transparent fabrics and sequins) are hardly SS25 specific.
The artist took to Instagram to treat her followers to not one, not two, but three (oh Katy, you spoil us!) outfit pics from her weekend attire. To attend the star-studded birthday party of Hollywood agent Michael Kives, Katy donned a Zuhair Murad gown from the designer’s spring/summer 2025 couture collection that featured a daringly plunging neckline and multiple torso cut-outs.
Oh, and did we mention? The naked dress was crafted from totally see-through fabric that was embellished with *very* strategically placed beaded detailing.

The barely-there design featured silver, black, and red beading covering the entirety of the bust and halterneck strap with two huge side cut-outs spanning pretty much the entire length of Katy’s torso and an additional key-hole cut-out at her stomach. However, it was at the dress’s figure-hugging skirt that the beading decoration started to thin, revealing peeks of her bare legs through the transparent fabric and revealing Katy was going commando in the risqué look.
Her caption’s not wrong, it’s giving bedazzled butterfly. But with her long, dark brown tresses styled in a center part and loose, undone waves down her back, one follower couldn’t help but note the similarities to a ‘70s era Cher, writing, “COME ONE CHEEEEERRR🔥🔥🔥🔥”. The comment was backed by none other than Nicole Scherzinger who echoed the comparison, adding, “Yaaaas she’s giving Cher!!!😍❤️✨”.
Sorry to Katy’s Mardi Gras just beads ‘fit and her Vanity Fair Oscars After Party dress, but this is officially her best look of 2025.
