Katie Holmes swapped out her go-to uniform of effortlessly chic everyday pieces for a Broadway night out style transformation on Monday. The Dawson’s Creek alum turned heads in a semi-sheer bodycon black dress with stomach-baring side cutouts while joining the A-list crowd at the Glengarry Glen Ross show’s opening night in New York City.
Mingling with stars like Sarah Snook, Molly Ringwald, and Kieran Culkin at the Palace Theatre performance, Holmes embraced a bombshell fashion memo for the David Mamet revival. The actress, who recently completed her own Broadway run playing Mrs. Webb in Our Town, wore a figure-hugging floor-length black dress with a turtleneck collar and a sleeveless design. As Holmes posed on the red carpet, she showed off the dress’s sexy yet elegant details, including the semi-translucent knit material and large cutout panels that displayed her ribs.

The Disturbing Behavior actress polished off her theater evening look with black leather heels, a cherry red Métier Parallel 22 clutch, and stacks of bracelets on her wrists. Holmes pulled her brown hair back into a soft ponytail with face-framing pieces, showing off a natural glam look with shimmery champagne eyeshadow, a glossy rose lip, and glowing cheekbones.

The star’s latest red carpet appearance comes just days after she made an appearance at the opening night of Othello on March 23. Holmes made an appearance at the Barrymore Theatre in another LBD—a strapless black bustier dress with a structured satin bodice—paired with mermaid waves, a tiny snakeskin baguette purse, and a deep berry lip. Judging from her latest appearance, it looks like Holmes is officially a Broadway opening night regular—and unsurprisingly, has already mastered her effortlessly stunning theater outfit formula.
