Katie Holmes interacted with social media content about her ex-husband Tom Cruise being spotted spending time with Ana de Armas.
The Our Town actress, 46, “liked” a May 1 Instagram post that reported on Cruise, 63, and de Armas, with a leading slide that claimed, “Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas love affair confirmed.”
It is a rare action for Holmes, who has been mostly private over the years about her divorce from Cruise in 2012 following five years of marriage. The pair share one child: daughter Suri, 19.
Cruise and de Armas, 37, first sparked dating rumors in February 2025, when they were photographed during a night out in London.
Reps for Cruise and de Armas did not respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment on July 7.

Though the Mission: Impossible star and Ballerina actress have been seen together multiple times since February — including on de Armas’ birthday in May — a source previously told PEOPLE that they were “just friends.”
In May, the Knives Out actress confirmed that she was working on multiple projects with Cruise. That same month, he raved about her performance in the recent John Wick spinoff Ballerina.
“[Ana is a] very, very talented, great dramatic actress, comedic, tremendous ability, learns quickly,” Cruise told Extra at the time.
Cruise and Holmes first made waves together 20 years ago, including the memorable moment in May 2005 when he jumped on a couch with his hands in the air in excitement over how in love with Holmes he was, during an appearance on Oprah.
They went on to welcome daughter Suri in April 2006, and tied the knot in November 2006. They split in June 2012, and officially divorced less than two months later.

In an October 2014 cover story for PEOPLE, Holmes said of her life over two years after her split from Cruise, “I don’t have any fear now.”
“I don’t have a lot of rules for myself, and I don’t take myself that seriously,” she added at the time.
Even then, the Dawson’s Creek alum had long since moved on from the divorce. “I don’t want that moment in my life to define me, to be who I am,” she said of her post-split persona. “I don’t want that to be what I’m known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now.”
