After a harrowing cancer battle, Catherine, Princess of Wales, has resumed her royal duties. While most of them may require official protocol, once in a while the princess gets to cut loose.
Case in point — Kate and Prince William are currently on a visit to the isles of Mull and Iona, which are two small isles off the west coast of Scotland. On Wednesday, April 30, they visited the Ardura Community Forest to meet the Countryside Rangers.
But Princess Kate was perhaps most excited to meet their children. In a series of photos, she can be seen playfully goofing around with them — playing with some toilet paper tube binoculars, accepting wildflower bouquets, and even making a scary monster face. Check out all the photos below:
The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay are on a two-day trip to Mull and Iona in an effort to engage with rural island communities, according to their official Facebook account.
“During their time on the islands, they will connect with local residents, highlighting the value of social bonds and underscoring the importance of safeguarding and advocating for the natural environment,” the post says.
On Facebook, one fan commented that it is “great to see the future queen, relaxed, happy and looking great. They are the power couple that the UK needs, new blood and a new approach to the people.”
Another fan wrote, “So great to see you enjoying your amazing break, and it’s fab that you are sharing it all with us.”
The future king and queen of England also celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary while on their Scotland trip. The two were wed in a world-wide-broadcasted wedding on April 29, 2011. They share three children — two sons, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louie, 7, and Princess Charlotte, who will turn 10 on May 2.
A year ago, Princess Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer and was out of the public eye for months while she underwent chemotherapy. Fortunately, in January 2025, she was able to announce that her cancer is in remission and that she is now focused on recovery.
