Kate Middleton and Princess Beatrice Wear Same Sleek Dress in Opposite Colors Days Apart

Princess Beatrice took a stylish page from Kate Middleton’s book for a night out this week.

Stepping out at the FEVO Sport Industry Awards 2025 at Evolution London on May 15, the Princess of York wore a black dress from Self Portrait — a favored royal brand — that featured a belted blazer top and flowing crepe skirt.

Beatrice, 36, completed the look with an Aspinal of London bag and sling-back Atana heels.

Princess Kate, 43, wore the same dress in white just last week, when she attended a concert commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day at London’s Horse Guards Parade on May 8 alongside Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla.

This isn’t the first time the royal cousins-in-law have shared the same fashion sense. Kate, Beatrice and Sophie Windsor have all been seen wearing the Ahana dress from Beulah London multiple times over the past few years. Kate owns the dress in pale pink, Beatrice’s is blue and Sophie – the daughter-in-law of Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent — wore it in magenta.

Like Kate, Beatrice doesn’t shy away from rewearing her favorite looks. She previously wore the black Self Portrait dress in September 2022, when she and her royal cousin assembled to hold vigil following Queen Elizabeth’s death.

Beatrice made multiple royal appearances this week, making a return to public life after the birth of her second child, daughter Athena, who was born prematurely.

Two months after she gave birth, Beatrice offered an update on her daughter in a first-person essay for British Vogue. She recalled the “sheer worry” of her daughter’s early arrival but said the experience taught her “so much.”

Beatrice, who is also mom to daughter Sienna, 3, with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, revealed that Athena “is now doing really well.” She shared that she has had “a few more answers as to what happened, but still no precise explanation” of the early birth.
