Collin Gosselin‘s heartbreaking message last week touched many fans’ hearts. And by the looks of it, his bittersweet words may have even reached his mom’s as well.
Just days after the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 21, posted his emotional message for his siblings on TikTok, Kate Gosselin took to the same social platform to share her own throwback photos of the family — referring to them as “the good old days.”
“I just wanted to preface and tell you a story about the photos I’m about to show you. It was in 2010, so the kids were 6. Maddy and Cara would’ve been 9,” Kate, 50, says in the TikTok video. “Deanna, our makeup artist friend, do you remember her from our show? She came one summer morning, and we decided she was gonna do makeup on the girls and mustaches and beards on the boys.”
The photos Kate then showcases in the same TikTok post reveal the memory involving Kate’s children and Deanna.
“They are the most precious pictures. I totally had forgotten about them. I came across them the other day, and I cannot wait to share them because the kids are so happy with the results, and they’re so cute and it was such a fun little silly summer project to do together. I totally forgot about it,” Kate continued. “I hope you enjoy these pictures. They’re really cute. I wish I could go back.”
Collin’s TikTok slideshow from Aug. 8 featured a childhood photo of the eight kids, with the following text: “Born to be a team, us against the world…Forced to do it alone, and wonder everyday what our lives could have looked like.”
Over the past decade, Collin has found himself in the midst of controversy surrounding his family and complicated relationship with his mom. As one of the family’s sextuplets, Collin grew up on camera — but behind the scenes, he says his life was full of struggle amid a tense relationship with Kate.
