After years out of the spotlight, Kate Gosselin continues to gradually return to social media. In an Instagram “time for work” post, the former Kate Plus 8 star packed a bag with enough food for lunch and dinner, giving fans a peek at what she eats to power through a 12-hour nursing shift.
The former reality star emphasized how crucial it is to maintain her energy throughout the day as she carefully packed a cooler bag with lunch, dinner, and snacks. She explained that since she doesn’t get a formal lunch break during her shift, everything she eats needs to be portable, healthy, and protein-rich.
In the video’s text overlay, Gosselin said the categories that keep her fueled throughout the day are “Main, Dairy, Fruit, Crunchy, and Dessert.” She added that she drinks water throughout the day, and additionally adds a hydration supplement to her beverage.
Fans of the former reality star flooded the clip’s comments with overwhelmingly positive reactions. Many followers expressed excitement and joy at seeing Kate back in the public eye after years of living more privately.

The ex-TLC star returned to social media via TikTok in July. Since that time, she has shared reels of her day-to-day life, including recipes for healthy eating, questions about her job, and posts about her children.
One of her most popular reels thus far was a photo montage set to the Pinocchio tune, “When You Wish Upon a Star.” It featured throwback pics of her children with Jon Gosselin: twins Cara and Mady (now 24), and her sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel (now 21), taken 15 years prior when Kate appeared as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2010.
Kate Gosselin works as a pediatric home healthcare nurse in North Carolina, caring for medically fragile children in their homes. She previously worked as a labor and delivery nurse before becoming a reality television star on the TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8.
