Justin Timberlake lost his patience with his stage crew and scolded the workers in front of an audience at the Lytham Festival earlier this month.
A concertgoer shared a clip via TikTok of the NSYNC alum, 44, yelling at the crew and using aggressive hand gestures that signaled his annoyance. At one point, Justin swiped his hands across his throat, shook his head in disagreement and forcefully pointed down to the ground.
In the comments section of the July 5 post, audience members explained that the sound shut off in the middle of Justin’s set, while he was singing “Cry Me a River.”
“He’s raging,” one fan commented, as a second person added, “Losing it with your support crew is considered highly unprofessional in the world of stage performance …”
Meanwhile, a handful of fans defended Justin’s demeanour and credited his attitude as a testament to his craft.
“I don’t blame him for being a bit peeved he’s trying to entertain his fans that paid money to see him. It was great that the fans stepped into to help him it was brilliant,” a third person wrote.
“We were there and thought he handled it really well during the song,” a fourth fan shared.
Despite the hiccup, Justin showed love to his fans after the performance and shared his favorite photos via Instagram from the festival on July 8.
Additional Lytham Festival attendees swarmed the comments section and shared their love for the 10–time Grammy-winning artist.
“You are a true professional! The videos of the band playing and the crowd singing Cry Me A River with you turned an irritating inconvenience into a beautiful moment between artist & fans!” a fan gushed.
Despite Justin’s enraged attitude during the onstage distraction, the producer sent much love to fans and often flashed big smiles at the crowd while waving and making hearts with his hands.
